We don’t collect data when you use our app:

  • Account Information
    • When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple User ID and display name (or an anonymous alias if you choose to hide your email)
    • We do not receive or store your Apple ID email address unless you choose to share it
  • Focus Session Data
    • Focus session start/end times and duration
    • Daily, weekly, and total focus time statistics
    • Current focus status (focusing or not)
  • App Usage Data
    • Selected apps and categories you choose to block (stored locally on your device)
    • Daily goal settings
    • Notification preferences
    • App settings and preferences

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

Send daily reminder notifications (if enabled)

Display your focus status to other users (live focus count)

Track and display your personal focus statistics

Sync your focus data across sessions

Provide the app blocking functionality via Screen Time

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
What We Share:

  • Your anonymous focus status contributes to the global “people focusing now” count visible to all users
  • We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes

Service Providers:

  • Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication is processed by Apple according to their privacy policy
  • Supabase: We use Supabase to store focus session data and enable real-time features
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. They may collect payment and transaction data as described in their privacy policy

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Focus session data is stored securely on Supabase servers
  • App blocking selections and preferences are stored locally on your device
  • We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data
  • Data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS

6. Data retention

  • Your focus session data is retained as long as you have an active account
  • You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time
  • Local data (app selections, preferences) can be cleared by uninstalling the app

7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt out of notifications at any time
  • Use the app without signing in (limited functionality)

8. Children’s Privacy
BrainKey is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review the policy periodically.
