Privacy policy

TL;DR — Sift collects no data. Your photos never leave your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

If you have any questions, contact us at hello@startit.agency.

What Sift does

Sift is a photo-cleaning app. It displays the photos and videos stored in your device’s photo library so you can decide what to keep and what to delete.

Photo library access

Sift asks for permission to access your photo library because that is the entire purpose of the app. All browsing, sorting, and deleting happens locally on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, transmitted, analyzed remotely, or shared with anyone — including us. Photos you delete are handled by iOS and remain in your device’s “Recently Deleted” album for the period managed by iOS.

Data we collect

None. Sift has no server. It does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information, usage data, identifiers, or diagnostics. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Purchases

Optional purchases (Sift Pro) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple’s handling of that data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Preferences stored on your device

Sift keeps a small amount of data on your device only — for example which photos you have already reviewed, your appearance setting, and your remaining daily swipes. This information never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the app.

Children

Sift does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date above.
